Superman (free) 05:05
She's just a little girl, stuck in the mud that is this big world. So you set her free, acting like her private deity. She's just a heartbeat. Alive enough to get you on your feet. And now she's falling. Go on and save her - It's your calling. You super man trying to save a kitty from her tree of high fashion. You think you can rescue the little pretty with a ladder of platinum. Watch how she ran, came right to your side. It's the fact of attraction. But now in your hand, you have the whole world yet you show no reaction. You super man ... You know she's brain-dead, another victim of her own head. Cause like her own kind, she's never one to use her own mind. You know she's livin' in A world that only listens if she's thin. So can you blame her for dressing as her own disclaimer? You super man trying to save a kitty from her tree of high fashion. You think you can rescue the little pretty with a ladder of platinum. Watch how she ran, came right to your side. It's the fact of attraction. But now in your hand, you have the whole world yet you show no reaction. You super man ... So you're a super man, living life as fast as you can. And with only one hand, you try your best to be the better man. You play her fool almost like there was a written rule. And you flash your steel, like it's the only thing she'll ever feel. You super man trying to save a kitty from her tree of high fashion. You think you can rescue the little pretty with a ladder of platinum. Watch how she ran, came right to your side. It's the fact of attraction. But now in your hand, you have the whole world yet you show no reaction. You super man ...

Dragonfly (free) 04:48
What if you could meet yourself? What would you say? What would you say? Would you preconceive yourself, or would you delay? Would you delay? How could you deceive yourself with nothing to say? You've nothing to say. Learning to believe yourself, or wasting the day? Wasting the day... A time line is a fine life for a dragonfly. I hope you're reaching out to see behind your dragon eyes. A timeline is a fine life for a dragonfly, but when you leave it up to time is when you fall behind. A time line is a fine life for a dragonfly. I hope you're reaching out to see behind your dragon eyes. A timeline is a fine life for a dragonfly, but when you leave it up to time is when you fall behind. What if you could be yourself, just for one day? Just for one day. Would you repeat yourself, anyway?

December 03:23
Meet a man who is living alone, but still making all of his meals for two. 'Cause cooking for more than his own is habit he'll never begin to lose. He's wondering, hoping for someone to come and reveal what he never could see. What he thinks when he's trying to sleep. 'Cause no one gives up in December, no no one gives up in December. There's a reason I just can't remember, but no one gives up in December. Meet a woman who's being her own by figuring out how her body moves. The truth that she one left unknown, is lovers don't turn into friends by noon. She's just stumbled into a valley of sin, where she's laying it all on the line. Hoping everything's gonna be fine. Cause no one gives up in December, yes no one gives up in December. There's a reason I just can't remember, but no one gives up in December. And she's telling him that he's wrong without her, and he's telling her that she's wrong. It could be that she's telling him that he's wrong without her, and he's telling her that he's wrong about me... I mean her. Cause no one gives up in December, no no one gives up in December (please don't give up). There's a reason I just can't remember, but no one gives up in December. No one gives up in December (no one gives up), no no one gives up in December. There's a reason I just can't remember, but no one gives up in December.

Gravity 04:34
If I assign things the same gravity as you do, I would probably have the same pull. But that must be such a heavy feeling, and I'd much rather feel full. To be full of laughs and a light little heart would make my pull just as strong. But gravity is a much more common language, and I haven't been speaking long. No, I haven't been speaking long. It's your gravity that brings you down. And all these things that you orbit around are also orbiting you. If you could only lay back and see that, there'd be so much less for you to do. Your head is so swiftly spinning with all your magnificent moons, that I tried to make my self fit in but there simply isn't room. No, there simply isn't any room. It's your gravity that brings you down. There's nothing wrong with the language you're speaking in. But I've no time to learn, cause I'm still trying to fill my skin. One day when we're older, and we've had a little too much gin. We will speak a common language without gravity, without skin. It's your gravity that brings me down.

I was born by the river in a little tent. And just like the river, I've been running ever since. It's been a long time coming, but I know a change gonna come. Oh yes it will. Sleeping on the interstate, we can grow old forever. Driving for miles, spend all our lives together. Taking a chance, planning a future better. You and me, now and ever. What I got from the world, and what I want from the world, has gone by. What I gave to the world, and what I made in the world has gone by. Then I go to you, and I say "Honey, I need somebody". Sleeping on the interstate, we can grow old forever. Driving for miles, spend all our lives together. Taking a chance, planning a future better. You and me, now and ever.

Here we are standing strong as a melody's dying phrase. Listening as the end of our reveille fades away. Giving up on our own nationality. Fly away. Selling off all our rights in eternity's final days. Strong as a melody is long, now that the melody is gone. Shouldn't we risk our life in an enemy's time of need? Picturing that he's raising a family? Life could be. How we cry for the fate of our lovers that fall away. Yet we think someone else comes to carry us through the day. Strong as a melody is long, now that the melody is gone. It's a myth that our life is unlimited. Live for now. Sealing fate with our lack of initiative, take a bow. Lying down we're sedate yet a part of us lies awake. In our death we live out our mortality's passing grace. Strong as a melody is long, now that the melody is gone.

Peculiar 04:14
Twist the wrist till the water runs warm. Slips over the skin like a singular form. Loosening lids betray a body worn. Drifting well beyond the settling swarm. Do you think love is peculiar? Do you think love is peculiar? Do you think love is peculiar? Well you should. The water cracks and pours out of the doorway. She's spilling out, succumbing to the melee. Who would expect a flood on such a sunny day? Come catch a wave to the San Francisco Bay. Do you think love is peculiar? Do you think love is peculiar? Do you think love is peculiar? Well you should. Break down the doors, we're peeling off the pavement. We'll ride so long, we'll wonder where the day went. Collecting everybody. Every boy and girl. Let's hang a million off the biggest board in the world. Do you think love is peculiar? Do you think love is peculiar? Do you think love is peculiar? Well you should.

Germany 05:42
In Germany a man sits all alone in front of me. I try to look away, fail miserably. And now I'm asking him to come with me. To come with me. Cause I wanna see what's beneath his dreams and part of me is sifting through my mind to try to see the diamond in his eyes. It wasn't me. It wasn't me. I wanna see pictures of you and me in Germany and visit the Northern Sea You holding me, under the orchard trees all memories I wanna see. In Germany a man gets up and leaves no love for me. Without my hopeful eyes he's blind to see that love was all around and finally when he loves someone, it won't be me. He never needs to know my state of mind is poverty. I'm poor without a love, it's his I need. Never giving up the ghost of he'd be to me. Of what he'd be to me. I wanna see pictures of you and me in Germany and visit the Northern Sea You holding me, under the orchard trees all memories I wanna see. I wanna see pictures of you and me in Germany and visit the Northern Sea You holding me, under the orchard trees all memories I wanna see.

about

"Down The Doors" is the third studio album from San
Francisco Bay Area electronic music group Chance's End. Songwriter Emily Zisman has joined the group with her soulful blues-infused vocals, adding to the violinelectronica sound of the group's first two albums.

This latest album brings a heavy focus on lyrical songwriting and lush orchestral string backings on top a bed of trip-hop and downtempo breakbeats.

Classical violinist Ryan Avery started Chance's End in 2000 to help expand the violin's presence in electronic music, following in the footsteps of groups like Hybrid Sound System, Beats Antique, and Groove Armada.
